Where glass meets grit

About Sour Cherry
Born from a love of old-school ink, desert skies, and relics of the past, this studio turns shards of glass into story-soaked keepsakes. Each piece is handcrafted using traditional copper foil technique. Inspired by American traditional tattoos, western iconography, with a touch of haunted oddities.
Whether it’s a sun-bleached saguaro, an all-seeing heart, or a spooky cobweb, everything here is made to refract the light, hold the light, and bring a little joy to your home.
Meet the maker
Hey, I’m Ellie. I’m a stained glass artist from Colorado. Currently, I live in Prague with my family and work out of my small home studio. I create pieces that blend American traditional tattoo motifs, vintage gothic symbolism, and the raw beauty of the southwestern landscape. I’ve always been drawn to nature and the old soul of southwest. I handcraft each piece using the copper foil method of stained glass. My goal is to cut and solder glass into bold and storied symbols that hold light and meaning. My work is rooted in nature, nostalgia, and a love for the imperfect.
